Browser Extension Privacy Notice
This notice covers the FitWear browser extension for Chrome and Edge. It adds to the Privacy Policy; the try-on itself follows the Try-on Terms and the Try-on Privacy & Biometric Notice. The controller is FitWear, Kosovo ([email protected]).
1. What the extension does
It has one purpose: to let a signed-in FitWear shopper with an active plan use the FitWear try-on on FitWear partner shops. On a partner shop that does not show the try-on itself, the extension adds the try-on button; try-ons made with it count against your FitWear plan. On shops that already have the FitWear try-on, and on all other websites, it does nothing. Without a connected account it only shows a "Try on with FitWear" button on partner shops that leads to sign-in.
2. What data it handles
| Data | Why | Where it goes |
|---|---|---|
| Sign-in token for the extension, your name and e-mail | To know which FitWear account and plan to use | Stored in the extension in your browser; sent only to FitWear |
| Address of the page you are on | To check whether it is a partner shop | Checked inside your browser against the list of partner shops (signed out: a list of one-way hashes of the shop domains). Only when it is a partner shop does the extension ask FitWear for that shop's try-on settings; your browsing history is never sent or stored. |
| The photo you upload and the product photos, when you start a try-on | To create the try-on image | Sent to FitWear as described in the Try-on Privacy & Biometric Notice; the photo is deleted right after the try-on |
| Your try-ons (time, shop, product page, result) | To count your plan and show them in "My try-ons" | Your FitWear shopper account |
3. What it does not do
- No advertising, analytics or tracking, and no browsing history collection.
- It does not read or change anything on websites that are not FitWear partner shops.
- It does not sell or share data, and does not use it for anything but the try-on and your account.
- It does not run code downloaded from the internet; all of its code is in the published package.
4. Browser permissions
- Access to websites: partner shops are many and change, so the extension needs to recognise them on any site; it acts only on partner shops.
- Scripting: to add the try-on button to a partner shop.
- Storage: to keep your sign-in and short-lived lists in the extension.
- Active tab: so the extension button can tell you whether the open page is a partner shop.
5. Your control
Sign the extension out in its menu or on the Extension page of your shopper account; "Sign out everywhere" in your account signs it out on every computer. The sign-in of the extension ends by itself after 30 days. Removing the extension deletes everything it stored in your browser. For your rights over the data in your account see the Privacy Policy, or write to [email protected].
